Socially Responsible and Ethical Portfolio
In the past it’s been understood that investing in Ethical funds would result in two things – a smaller selection of investment opportunities and a lower yield.
But times have changed. In February we reported our first tranche of investment monies into Vision, our socially responsible and ethical fund.
It has exceeded our expectation and our manager at Walker Crips has reported growth in six months of 6.67%. Clearly this is in a time of growth in the market caused by the fall in the value of the pound. Nevertheless, this marks a break from the old concepts of limited choice and low performance.
We do provide clients with a list of the holdings before we invest their money so that they can examine where their money is being invested and it’s also possible to meet the Fund Manager to discuss his approach to this kind of investment.
